Lady Rangers advance to Region V tournament

The Ranger College Lady Rangers earned a berth in the Region V Women's Soccer Tournament last Thursday by grabbing a 5-1 victory over cross-county rival Cisco College in their home finale.

With the win, Ranger finished the regular season at 6-6 and, more importantly, claimed the No. 2 seed in the regional tournament, which is scheduled for Oct. 26 at Howard Payne University in Brownwood.

The Lady Rangers will play Hill College in the women's title game beginning at 3 p.m.

The men's championship game will be between Western Texas College and Hill College. That game will be played at 1 p.m.
