Ranger College softball drops the series against Midland College on February 13

RANGER – Ranger College softball drops the series against Midland College on February 13.

In the first game between Midland College and Ranger College, Midland College emerged victorious with a final score of 10-2. Midland College displayed a strong offensive performance, scoring 10 runs on 13 hits. Ranger College struggled to generate offense, only managing 2 runs on 2 hits.

Midland College got off to a slow start, failing to score in the first inning. However, they quickly turned things around in the second inning, scoring 3 runs. They continued to dominate in the third inning, adding 5 more runs to their tally. They closed out the game with 2 additional runs in the fifth inning.

On the pitching side, A. Ramos from Midland College earned the win, pitching 5 innings and allowing 2 runs on 2 hits. She struck out 1 batter and gave up 0 walks.

Alyssa Meza from Ranger College took the loss, pitching 2 innings and allowing 5 runs on 6 hits. Sarah Gonzalez also pitched for Ranger College, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits in 3 innings.

In the second game, Midland College took the win with a 6-0 shutout. The game showcased Midland College's strong batting and pitching performance, while Ranger College struggled to find its rhythm.

Unfortunately, Ranger College had a tough day on the field. Their batters struggled to find their rhythm and were only able to muster four hits throughout the game.


Pitcher Jada Moreno took the loss for Ranger College, giving up six runs on eight hits over seven innings. Despite striking out two batters, Moreno was unable to contain Midland College's potent offense.

Midland College's defense was nearly flawless, committing only one error throughout the game.

Ranger College struggled to find their footing, with their batters failing to generate offense.

The next game for Ranger is a series against Tyler Junior College on February 14.
