Ranger College Softball split the series with Western Texas College on February 10, 2024.

Ranger College took game 1 against Western Texas College with a score of 12-4. The game took place in Snyder, Texas.

Ranger College started strong, scoring a run in the first inning to take an early lead. They then had a dominant second inning, scoring six runs to extend their lead. Throughout the game, they continued to show their offensive prowess with a total of 12 runs.

Alayna Parram and Alyssa Vicenty were standout players for Ranger College, with Parram hitting a triple and driving in three runs, while Vicenty contributed with a hit and two runs. Marlie Strong and Alyssa Meza also had notable performances, each driving in a run for the Rangers.

Defensively, Ranger College had a solid game, only committing one error. Their pitchers, Jada Moreno and Sarah Gonzalez, were effective in shutting down Western Texas College's offense, allowing a total of four runs.

On the other hand, Western Texas College struggled to generate runs throughout the game. They managed to score a run in each of the third, fourth, and fifth innings, but it wasn't enough to overcome Ranger College's offensive onslaught.

Overall, it was a dominant performance by Ranger College, showcasing their offensive firepower and solid defense.

In Game 2, it was an exciting matchup between Ranger and Western Texas, the latter emerged victorious with a narrow 9-8 win.

They continued their momentum in the seventh inning, scoring three more runs to secure the win. Ranger fought back with two runs in the sixth inning but fell just short, resulting in a 9-8 victory for Western Texas.

For Ranger, Jenna Cox had an impressive game, hitting three doubles and driving in a run. Alyssa Meza also contributed significantly with three hits and three RBIs

Ranger College Softball next faces Midland College at home on Tuesday, February 13. The first pitch of this double-header will be at 1:00 p.m.
