Ranger College Indoor Track starts well for Coach Green and his team

Ranger College Indoor Track and Field had a successful start to the season last weekend under new Head Coach De'Torrian Green.

Ashlynn Barret (So) achieved an indoor personal record of 1:02:53 in her event, placing 19th out of 43 participants. Tristan Galvan (Fr) also performed well, running a personal record of 51:59 and finishing 26th out of 59 competitors. Ra'imond Harvey (So) competed in the men's 600-yard dash and placed 7th out of 32 athletes with a time of 1:16:07.

In the team competition, the Men's 4x4 meter relay team performed well, finishing 5th overall at 3:29:75. The team was made up of Ra'mond Harvey (So), Tristian Galvan (Fr), Markel Harris (Fr), and Jacobi Fields (So). This result earned them the 21st position in the NJCAA rankings.

Other individual finishers included Sebastian Valdez with 10:17:55 in the 3k placing 66 out of 69, Jamari Mcneil ran a 2:15:07 placing 70th out of 81 and a 5:13:06 in the men's mile placing 98th out of 103. Nathan Rodgers finished with a 5:13:33 in the men's mile placing 99th out of 103 and ran a 2:16:23 placing 72nd out of 81. Da'imond Harvey ran a 4:38:14 in the men's mile placing 47th out of 103 and set a P.R (Personal record) of 2:05:10 placing 50th out of 81st. Victor Vazquez-Rosas ran a 4:37:34 in the men's mile placing 44th out of 103, as well as finishing with a time of 9:23:79 in the 3k placing 47 out of 69. John Russel Jr ran a 4:58:12 in the men's mile placing 89th out of 103, along with running a 2:11:77 in the men's 800-meter dash placing 67th out of 81. Dimitria Sweet ran an 8.54 in the 60-meter dash placing 54 of 66, as well as a 28.93 in the 200 placing 64th out of 80. Markel Harris ran a 7.44 in the 60-meter dash placing 57th out of 86 and a 23.98 in the 200-meter dash placing 79th out of 100. Breyanna Kemp ran a 27.25 in the 200-meter dash placing 42nd out of 80, and a 1:06:35 in the 400-meter dash placing 30th out of 43

Overall, it was a promising start for Ranger College Indoor Track and Field.
