RC standout wins Outstanding Freshman award

Ranger College standout Jacob Skov Olesen was named the recipient of the 2020 NJCAA Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award recently.

Olesen posted a scoring average of 67.93 over the 2019-20 season, ranking him first across NJCAA Division I. The freshman earned three individual victories and three top-ten finishes in six total events this year.

Olesen was also named NJCAA Division I PING All-District and NJCAA Division I PING First Team All-America.

Harry Fearn of Indian Hills, Jack Goldasich of Central Alabama, Sangha Park of Odessa, and Dean Walsh of Iowa Western all joined Olesen on the All-Freshman team.
