Morton, Ondaan lead Rangers past SNM

Tiras Morton and Kenyoue Ondaan both posted double-double performances on Saturday and helped carry Ranger College to an easy 100-42 con-conference win over Strength N Motion International in front of a small Spring Break crowd in the Ron Butler Gym.

With the win, Ranger College nailed down its fourth straight victory and improved to 9-3 for the season. The Rangers are 6-2 in NTJCAC play heading into Saturday's game with Southwestern Christian.

Ranger dominated the San Antonio-based Strength N Motion squad in the first half. Backed by baskets by Ondaan, Keisei Tominaga, Jorell Saterfield and Nika Metskhvarishvili, the Rangers bolted to a 54-17 lead at the half. They finished the game with a 46-25 second-half barrage.

Morton came off the bench to finish with a game-high 16 points. He also reached double figures in rebounds with 10. Ondaan tallied 11 points and grabbed 10 boards.

Starlin Hamilton also played well for RC, which garnered points from everyone on their roster. Hamilton chalked up 12 points.

Tominaga scored eight points and had seven rebounds. Saterfield scored nine points.

The win marked the third time in RC's past four games that the Rangers have reached triple digits offensively. During their recent 40game win streak, the Rangers are averaging better than 100 points per outing.
