Ranger dominates Temple College at home, winning both games on Wednesday

In a dominating performance, the Ranger College baseball team secured a 7-0 victory over Temple College on March 6, 2024. The game saw Ranger College's pitcher, Emir Encalada, throw a shutout, allowing only one hit and striking out seven batters over seven innings.

Offensively, Ranger College was led by Jaxon Haynes, who had a standout performance with a grand slam home run and four RBIs. Jackson Dillingham also had a strong showing with two doubles. Terry Burrel contributed three RBIs to the team's total.

On the other hand, Temple College struggled to get anything going offensively, managing only one hit in the game. Their pitchers, M. Peters and G. Gutierrez, couldn't contain Ranger College's offense, giving up a total of seven runs.

In game 2, Ranger again took the victory with a 7-1 win. Ranger showed a strong offensive performance with 7 runs on 7 hits, while Temple College struggled to score, managing only 1 run on 5 hits.

Ranger College's J.T. Thompson had a standout performance with 2 RBIs, while Terry Burrel contributed with 2 RBIs as well. Pitcher Joseph Lee from Ranger earned the win, pitching 7 innings and allowing only 1 run on 3 hits.

On the other hand, Temple College's pitching struggled, with C. Marthiljo allowing 3 runs in 5 innings. Their offense was led by B. Simmons, who scored the lone run for Temple College.

Ranger will now face Temple on the road this Saturday with games slated for Noon and 3 p.m.
