Ranger College Baseball takes the series against Garden City Community College at home

RANGER – In the first game between Garden City Community College and Ranger College, Ranger came out on top with a dominant 13-3 victory. Ranger College improved their record to 12-4 with this win, while Garden City Community College fell to 1-11.

Ranger College got a strong start, scoring three runs in the first inning and never looking back. They continued to add runs throughout the game, with key contributions from players like J.T. Thompson, Tui Amosa, and Robert Oropeza. Pitcher Louis Castano also had a solid performance, allowing only 3 runs on 7 hits while striking out 10 batters.

On the other side, Garden City Community College struggled to keep up with Ranger College's offense. Despite a home run from B. Barber and a solid effort from their pitchers, they could not overcome the early deficit.

In game 2, Garden City won with a final score of 12-6. The game saw Garden City's offense come alive, scoring runs in multiple innings, and taking advantage of errors by the Ranger's defense.

Garden City's N. Barber and C. Thompson had strong performances at the plate, with Barber contributing with a sacrifice fly and Thompson driving in three runs. Pitcher T. Dooley had a solid outing, giving up only one run in 4.2 innings

On the other side, Ranger College struggled defensively, committing eight errors throughout the game. However, Joshua Comeaux provided a bright spot for Ranger College with a three-run home run in the sixth inning.

However, in Game 3, Ranger came back with an impressive win. The final score was 14-8. The game was marked by strong offensive performances from both teams.

Ranger College got off to a strong start, scoring four runs in the first inning, with Joshua Comeaux and Robert Oropeza leading the charge with key hits. They continued to build on their lead throughout the game, with Jackson Dillingham hitting a crucial home run in the sixth inning to extend their advantage.

Garden City Community College fought back, with W. Anderson hitting a homer in the fifth inning and G. Ryan delivering a triple in the eighth inning. However, their efforts were not enough to overcome Ranger College's strong offensive showing.

On the pitching side, Ty Pankonin started for Ranger College and put in a solid performance, allowing only two runs in four innings. For Garden City Community College, C. Metzen struggled on the mound, giving up six runs in just two innings.

With this series win by Ranger, they go to 13-5 on the season. Their next game will be at Western Texas this Wednesday, February 28, with the first pitch es scheduled for Noon and 3:00 p.m. Their next home game will be against the same Western Texas team on Saturday, March 2, at Noon and 3:00 p.m.
