Ranger College turns the lights off on Navarro College at La Moderna Field in Cleburne, Texas

RANGER – In a thrilling matchup between Navarro College and Ranger College on February 21, 2024, Ranger College took the series and moved to 11-4 on the season.

In game one, Ranger College wore down Navarro College who just wouldn't go away. Ranger edged out a narrow 11-10 victory in an 11-inning game. The game was full of back-and-forth action with both teams putting up impressive offensive numbers.

Ranger College's offense was led by J.T.  Thompson, Robert Oropeza, and Terry Burrel who each contributed to the team's 11-run effort. Despite committing four errors in the field, Ranger College was able to capitalize on their opportunities and secure the win.

Navarro College had a strong showing with 14 hits and 10 runs, highlighted by key performances from players like B. Jones, B. Gostisha, and T. Kummer, who all hit home runs. However, their pitching struggled to contain Ranger College's offense, allowing 11 runs on 14 hits.

The game featured multiple lead changes and extra innings, keeping fans on the edge until the end. In the end, Ranger College came out on top with a hard-fought victory.

In game two, Ranger was in control from the start. Ranger College took this win with a final score of 13-7.

Ranger College got off to a strong start, scoring 3 runs in the first inning and adding 5 more runs in the second inning. Their offensive prowess continued throughout the game, with key contributions from players like Robert Oropeza who had 5 RBIs, and Andrew Perez who added 1 RBI.

On the other hand, Navarro College struggled to keep up with Ranger College's offense. Despite scoring 7 runs, they could not overcome the early lead established by their opponents. T. Kummer and M. Libby were the standout performers for Navarro College, with Kummer contributing 2 RBIs and Libby adding 4 RBIs.

Pitching-wise, J. Lee from Ranger College earned the win with 4.1 innings pitched, allowing 4 runs.
