SNYDER, Texas — November 7, 2025 — The Ranger College women's soccer team saw its remarkable 2025 season come to a close on Friday with a hard-fought 1–0 loss to Tyler Junior College in the NJCAA Plains District Championship. The defeat ends the Lady Rangers' year with a stellar 11-2-2 overall record, including an undefeated 6-0-1 mark in conference play.

Defensive Battle in the District Final

In a matchup between two of the nation's top programs, the Lady Rangers held their own from start to finish. The lone goal came late in the second half, as Tyler capitalized on a narrow opportunity to edge out the victory. Despite the result, Ranger's defensive organization and composure under pressure reflected the growth and grit that defined their season.

A Season of Milestones

Ranger College's 2025 campaign was one for the record books. Under the leadership of Interim Head Coach Ross Anderson, the Lady Rangers:

  • Went undefeated in conference play (6-0-1)
  • Captured the NJCAA Region V Championship on October 29 with a 4–0 win over Cisco College
  • Finished 11-2-2 overall, earning a berth in the NJCAA District Championship game

The team's consistency, depth, and attacking firepower powered them through a season filled with milestones and signature wins.

Looking Ahead

Although the season ended one step shy of a national tournament berth, the Lady Rangers set a new standard for excellence within the program. With a young roster that includes several key returners, the foundation has been firmly laid for continued success in 2026.
