Ranger College Women’s Soccer Shuts Out North Lake, Improves to 5-0-1

IRVING, TX — September 5, 2025 — The Ranger College women's soccer team continued its unbeaten run with a commanding 3–0 victory over the Dallas College North Lake Blazers on Friday evening. The win keeps the Lady Rangers undefeated at 5-0-1 on the season.

First-Half Breakthrough

After a tightly contested opening half, freshman forward Katalina Medina broke the deadlock in the 38th minute. Medina calmly finished off a setup from Naileth Rangel, giving Ranger a 1–0 advantage heading into halftime.

Dominant Second Half

The Lady Rangers extended their lead early in the second half. In the 65th minute, Laura Ruiz doubled the score, again assisted by Rangel, who notched her second helper of the night. Just five minutes later, Mia Gregory added the third goal, finishing off a pass from Nina Watson to seal the 3–0 victory.

Defensive Stand

Sophomore goalkeeper Penelope Charrion earned the clean sheet, recording one save across 90 minutes of action. The Ranger defense limited North Lake to just a single shot on goal, while the offense pressed relentlessly with 12 shots on frame.

Looking Ahead

With the win, Ranger improves to 5-0-1 overall. The Lady Rangers will return to action on Friday, September 12, at 2:00 p.m. for their home opener against Hill College, which also marks the start of conference play.
