Lady Rangers move closer to record with win over WTC

The Ranger College women's soccer team put itself within reach of the history books on Friday afternoon at Weaver Field in Snyder.

The Lady Rangers scored three times in the first 35 minutes of play and rolled to a 4-0 victory over the Western Texas College Westerners in a key Region 5 showdown.

With the win, Ranger College moved to 8-2-2 for the season and, more importantly, advanced to 3-1-1 in conference play, guaranteeing the squad a return trip to the Region 5 tournament.

The win also moved the Lady Rangers to within one win of tying the college's all-time mark for victories in a season at nine. Ranger College can tie the 2021 squad's record mark for wins on Tuesday when they host the University of Arkansas-Cossatot at Rangers Field.
