Ranger College Men’s Basketball Improves to 5–6 With Strong Win Over Loyalty Prep

RANGER, Texas — November 29, 2025 — The Ranger College men's basketball team continued its dominance at Ron Butler Gymnasium on Saturday, defeating the Loyalty College Prep Wildcats 76–58 to improve to 5–6 on the season. The Rangers are now an impressive 5–1 at home, once again feeding off strong play on both ends of the floor.

Hot Shooting Lifts the Rangers

Sophomore Mafatime Ndiaye led the charge with 15 points, fueled by a sharp 5-of-10 performance from three-point range. His perimeter shooting helped the Rangers create separation early and maintain momentum throughout the game.

Freshman guard Cam Brown added 13 points, along with 5 assists and 3 rebounds, while knocking down two three-pointers in 30 minutes of play. Brown also contributed defensively with a block and a steal.

Dominant Presence in the Paint

Sophomore Jalen Hooks turned in one of his strongest rebounding nights of the season, grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with 5 points, 1 block, and 2 steals. His work on the boards helped Ranger control the tempo and limit second-chance opportunities for the Wildcats.

Sophomore Gavin Headings scored 10 points on an efficient 5-of-8 shooting while adding 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. Devin Whitten provided a key spark off the bench, totaling 14 points, including four three-pointers, along with 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

Teamwide Efficiency

Ranger shot 42% from the field and knocked down a season-high 14 three-pointers, finishing 14-of-37 from beyond the arc. The Rangers also won the rebounding battle 40–25, turning defensive stops into scoring opportunities in transition.

The defensive effort was equally strong, as Ranger forced 12 turnovers and recorded 12 steals, holding Loyalty Prep to just 3-of-18 (16.7%) shooting from three.
