Collin County claws out win over Ranger

PLANO -- Ranger and Collin County went to the half tied at 37-37, things didn't change much in the second half. Caleb Smith gave Ranger the lead with just over four minutes left in the game, but after going up 69-66, the Rangers were outscored 16-8. The Cougars completed the comeback and picked up the win 82-77.

Akiem Daschner led all scorers with 27.

Devonte Patterson scored 16 off the bench and Keyshaad Dixon rounded out the trio of Rangers in double figures with 13.

Collin County's Tyrick Bennett led all scorers with 25.

Ranger is home on Wednesday when they host Temple College looking to even its conference record at 2-2. The Leopards are 2-0 in conference play and are coming off a non-conference win over CyFair 117-84.
