Bio

Coach Pat Day is in his first year as an assistant baseball coach at Ranger College, where he also serves as the strength and conditioning coordinator. With a wealth of experience in coaching and player development, Coach Day brings a unique skill set to the program.

Before joining Ranger College, Coach Day spent three years as the pitching coordinator at DST San Antonio. He has also held coaching positions at Texas College, where he helped lead the pitching staff to a 3.88 ERA, and at Jarvis Christian University. Additionally, Coach Day has valuable experience at the Minor League level and currently serves as the high school director of operations for the Texas Angels.

A standout player, Coach Day played at Stephen F. Austin State University and LSU Shreveport. At LSUS, he was a multiple-time All-American, 2x All-Conference selection, and 1x Pitcher of the Year. He also earned two All-Conference Tournament Team honors and holds multiple program records, including All-Time Saves Leader and Single-Season Saves Leader. During his time with the Pilots, he helped lead the team to two conference championships and two regional championships.

Originally from Tyler, Texas, Coach Day was a multi-sport standout in high school, earning varsity letters in football (3x), basketball (3x), and baseball (4x). He was also a two-time All-State baseball team selection.

Coach Day is the proud father of his daughter, Harper, and continues to bring his passion for coaching and developing players to every aspect of the game.
