Lady Rangers put three on all-region squad

The Ranger College women's volleyball team might have come up just short on its goal of reaching the Region V North tournament for the fourth season in a row but that didn't stop them starring on the hardwood. Three Ranger College standouts earned all-conference accolades earlier this week when the postseason honors were passed out.

Headline the selections for Ranger College was sophomore Reanna Miller. The Kopperl, Texas-native starred for the Lady Rangers this season. She led the team in several categories, including digs with 528. As a result, she was among eight players selected to the Region V North first-team squad.

Joining Miller on the first-team were Cisco College's Gabrielle Delos Santos, Temple College's Imana Ellis, Vernon's Taylor Salone, Hill College's Alyssa Parks and Camryn Specia and North Central Texas' Jordan Babcock and Jocelyn Grewing.

Babcock and Grewing, along with 2019 Player of the Year Allie Hamsher, led NCTC to the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference regular-season title.

NCTC's Meredith McPeek was also recognized. She was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.

Macey Jordon and freshman sensation Kaycie Shannon also received heavy praise from the conference's coaches. Both were named to the second-team squad.

Joining Jordon and Shannon on the second-team squad were Temple's Fesili Masanial, Jamie Agnew and Lisa Gonzalez, NCTC's Megan Harris and Malley Morris, Hill College's Danyella Longoria and Hannah Osborn, Vernon's Adara Land and Cisco's Mackensie Williams.
