Lady Rangers place three on NTJCAC All-Academic Team

The Ranger College women's volleyball program proved it is just as capable of producing stars in the classroom as it does on the court recently as three members of the 2018-19 Lady Rangers' roster landed spots on the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's All-Academic Team.

Making the roster from Ranger were standouts Hayley Daniel and Hannah Brink and player/assistant coach Iyana Thomas.

In order to attain a spot on the All-Academic roster, players had to complete three semesters of college work with a minimum of 36 hours of courses that lead to a degree all while maintaining an accumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher. The athletes also had to participate in at least one season on the varsity level and lettered in one or more sports.

Daniel, who recently signed with Oklahoma Baptist University, was the NTJCAC MVP this season. Brink, who signed with Lubbock Christian University, was a first-team all-conference selection.

Thomas, who starred at RC as a freshman, shifted to an assistant coach's role this past season and helped Lady Rangers' head coach Nicole Smith lead the team to a school-record 23 wins.
