RC runners shine at ACU Twilight Invitational

The Ranger College women continued to rewrite the program's record book at ACU, breaking two more all-time marks.

Yenifer Martinez established a new RC mark in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase race en route to finishing sixth overall. Her time of 13:30.16 easily broke the school's previous mark of 14:05 set in 2018 by Hope Thomas.

Jessica Thomas-Billott continued her assault on the RC record books by starring in the 1,500-meter run. The only non-NCAA runner in the top five, she finished fourth overall with a time of 4:57.00. Her time bettered Ranger College's previous best in the event of 5:12.19 set in 2018 by former RC star Freshiah Ndungu.

Cathy Lopez and Marissa Gonzalez also did well in the 1,500. Lopez raced her way to a season-best time of 5:27.92 and placed 18th overall. Gonzalez was 20th at 5:32.09.
