Lady Rangers upend Cisco

The Ranger College women's soccer team picked up goals from four different players on Monday and rolled to a 4-0 win over rival Cisco College in Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference play on Monday afternoon.

With the win, Ranger improved to 1-2-1 for the season and, more importantly, improved to 1-1 in conference play.

Ana Beatriz notched the only score of the first half midway through the first by taking a pass from America Cespedes and punching it into the net.

The Lady Rangers blew the game open in the second half. RC hammered out three unanswered goals in the frame and raced to a commanding lead.

Chelsy Monroy opened the RC barrage by tallying Rangers' first goal of the second half. Natalie Laredo recorded the assist on the play.

Jazmin Gurrola stretched RC's lead to 3-0 from there. She came away with a steal and pushed a shot past the Cisco goalie.

Paola Moreno scored the final goal. On the play, Brittany Thompson served up the assist with a pass to Moreno, who drove the ball into the net.

Ranger will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Dallas to face nationally-ranked Richland College.
