Hill rallies past RC women

Hill College pieced together a 20-10 run in the final 10 minutes of play on Saturday and rallied to claim a key 63-55 victory over the Ranger College women's basketball team.

Hill, which has trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half, roared back in the second half. The Lady Rebels opened the third quarter with a 22-13 run and went into the fourth quarter down by just two, at 45-43.

Ranger College struggled to get its offense going early. The RC women scored just 10 points in the first eight minutes of the game and trailed by a 15-10 clip.

The Lady Rangers came alive in the second, however. They reeled off a staggering 22-6 run in the frame and rolled into the half with a 32-21 lead.

Angel Reese, who had notched a pair of double-doubles in her first three conference outings, led RC in scoring. She pumped in 13 points to go along with eight rebounds. Shan'Qaylia Stanton and Kiara Pesina also reached double figures in the game, netting 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Marshalia Lollie led Ranger in rebounding with 10.
