Cattoor stars at Texas Tech rodeo

Kash Cuttoor turned in a solid showing at the 2019 Texas Tech University Rodeo last weekend. The Ranger College roper teamed with Weatherford College's Kasen Brenisse to finish second in the team roping competition. The rodeo was held Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 in Lubbock.

Cuttoor, one of the Southwest region's top heelers, and Brenisse posted a score of 115 in the event and finished behind Texas Tech's Scott Weitz and Tarleton State University's Paden Bray.

Coming into the Texas Tech meet, Cuttoor was ranked seventh in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association's rankings of the top heelers in the Southwest region.

Ranger's Brady Kyle also did well in the team roping event. He and teammate Garrett Dickey of South Plains roped their way to seventh in the final standings.

Kathryn Todd and Madison Wolff turned more than a few heads en route to leading the RC women's team to ninth in the overall team standings. Todd finished in a tie for fifth in the breakaway roping event, while Wolff placed ninth in the barrel racing finals.
