Bio

Julio Guerrero enters his second season as the Ranger College Head Men’s and Women’s soccer coach.
During his first season as the Ranger head coach, Julio finished with a complete 6-6 record with the women’s
team earing 2nd in the Region 5 Conference and a trip to the conference championship game against
Nationally ranked 4th in the nation Hill College, but fell to them 1-0 in the final minutes of the game. He also
had multiple players earn All-tournament and All Conference awards as well having all of his
sophomores move on and play at the next level. With the Men’s team finishing with a 3-5-1 record and
just missing out on the conference championship game, they also had players earn all conference awards
also having multiple players move to 4 years institutions. During his time Ranger Coach Julio has already
placed players at multiple institutions for D2, D3, NAIA as well.

During his first season of the Lady Red Devils he helped the lady Red Devils have a complete turn around
from the season before going a complete perfect record having an 11-0 record including a conference
and conference tournament championship with coaching two All-American players Dorothy Usher and
Phoenix Micheales. Also including a National Tournament appearance for the first time in history in
Evans Georgia. Including multiple players moving on to the next level and continuing their athletic
careers. During his second season as the assistant coach as the Lady Red Devils assistant they went back
to back conference champions and also claiming the conference tournament championship as well. And
also having several players win All-American awards Claudia Zahui and Yasmin and Mia Evans earning 1 st
team all conference awards. As well as having them move on to West Virgina State University D2
program in West Virgina. As well as having other players earning opportunities to move on and play at 4
year institutions.

After his playing career Julio decided to enter a career in coaching where he started coaching as an
assistant volunteer coach at Rockhurst University in his first coaching the team earned a trip to the final
four of the NCAA national tournament semi finals held in Kansas City and finishing the season with a 16-
2-3 record and 12-1-1 in conference finishing first. In his second year the team finished 8-8-2 with a 6-5-
2 earning a trip to the conference tournament knocking out the University of Southern Indiana who
were the top seed of the conference then losing to Maryville in the semi finals 1-0. Including being
mentored by Tony Tocco who is the second most winningest coach of all time in intercollegiate men’s
soccer coaches. After his time at Rockhurst Julio joined the University of Saint Mary as an assistant
coach and where he helped the team finish 10-9 and 7-5 in conference with a fifth place finish, highest
finish since 2003 including a playoff appearance since 2010. Also having five players earn all honorable
mention and one earning second team all conference. Including winning the team of character award
with several players earn NAIA scholar recognition and one earning CoSIDA Academic All-District list.
Julio is also a coach at BVB International soccer Academy where he coaches the high schools boys,
including running goalkeeper sessions as well. In 2018 his U19 team earned a trip to the semi finals of
the Kansas State Cup and were knocked out by penalties, including having several players go on and play
at the college level.


He received an opportunity to play for Allen Community College in 2012-2013 after being redshirted his
first year. In the 2014-2015 season he helped the team finish the season 8-7 and also a 5th place finish
in the Jayhawk conference earning a trip to the playoffs. In the year 2015-2016 season Julio recieved a scholarship from the University of Saint Mary. He had a total of 8 appreances, but his season was cut short with multiple knee injuries. 

In 2013 Julio earned his USSF D license and Goalkeeper level 1 license as well as multiple license from
the USSF. Also having coaching licensed by the IFA Irish Football Northern Ireland Association

In 2017 Julio earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Saint Mary and also earned
his Master Degree at the University of Saint Mary in Education.
