RC moves to 4-0 with romp over Murray State

The Ranger College men's basketball team ran its season record to 4-0 on Wednesday night with a resounding victory over Murray State in the Ron Butler Gymnasium. Ranger reeled off 51 points in the first 20 minutes of play and rolled to an easy 84-66 decision in front of a large crowd.

Jorell Saterfield and Brayan Au both turned up Ranger's offensive intensity early against the Aggies, who had entered the contest unbeaten. Saterfield and Au teamed to score 21 points in the first 20 minutes and helped power RC to a commanding lead.

Saterfield scored 12 of his team-high 16 points in the opening half. Au added nine. Kenton Eskridge added eight and Deladris Green chipped in six. Ranger also picked up a spark from freshman Keisel Tominaga, who came off the bench to knock down three NBA-range three-point shots in the first half. Tominaga tallied 11 of his 13 points in the first half.

Ranger held a 51-29 lead at the intermission.

C.J. Roberts helped Ranger finish off the win. He pumped in eight of his 10 points and keyed a 33-point push by RC in the second half.

Ranger College will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 12, with a game in Beeville against Coastal Bend College.
