Ranger College standouts Shaughn Kelly and Edgar Santos will among a handful of Southwest U.S. baseball stars hitting this field in Abilene this weekend to play in the annual Texas-New Mexico Junior College All-Star Game. The two sophomores are scheduled to compete in a two-game all-star series games, which will be played at Scott Field on Friday and Saturday.

"We're glad to have them going to represent Ranger College," said RC head coach Scott Norwood. "They have both earned the opportunity to play in the all-star contest."

Kelly and Santos both saw considerable time on the field a year ago en route to helping the Rangers go 27-23. Kelly, who is penciled in to play shortstop and third base this spring, hit .281 in 21 games for Ranger College. Santos, a right-handed pitcher, went 1-0 in 10 games a year ago as a freshman.
